i completly disagree i have a 98 zx6r and i have been riding/stunting it for almost a full two years, has been beat to ****, dropped a rediculous amount on time, endo's untill the forks bent backwards, slammmed intot he pavement in the lot, into barriers, at 80 on the highway, you name it......no cracks, solid frame, runs great, made most of my own parts, the carbs suck for 12 or if you dump it it stalls, and 12 it it stalls etc. but other then that i cannot complain.....AND i broke off my triple stopper and have repetedly smashed it into the frame untill there is a nice dent resemabling the shape of a fork tube and still not problems, no cracks, **** i welded the rear set back on with alum plates hahaha and its allllll works. www.myspace.com/greg6599 you can check the bike and stunts on there

 

The frame is junk and you wouldnt want to deal with it and destory your body pretty soon if u start stunt that bike and it breaks the frame real easy. I m sure you can find f4 or f4i for around 2 gs tops.

I wouldnt take that breaks frame all the time like suzuki.

 

You dont know what your talking about... I broke 4 99-2001 zx6r frames in half from doing stoppies.. Many people who have stunted older kawis have cracked the frames from stoppies.. Like I said I cracked 4 of them..

I still haven't heard anything about the weak frame that I would believe.
Stoppies breaking frames? I guess wheelies could break your throttle cable if you did enough of em though right? I can hear it now. "I was doing a wheelie and it broke my damned throttle cable." Right.

I don't think I know everything nor did I say so. It's just my opinion. It just seems if one's opinion differs on this site, everyone is so quick to go against them. I say a stoppie is not going to break a frame. You say it will.
I say multiple falls on a bike will break the frame. Not a single incident. One stoppie is not going to do it. That's my opinion and there is no proof anywhere to make me change my stand on it. I had a 2002 zx6r and wrecked it hard at about 45mph. It went from past 12 to laying on the left side hard. No break there. It hit hard enough that the carbs popped out of the intake boots and it shattered the stator cover and stator. Plus, I learned stoppies and wheelies on that bike. It got beat up. When it left my possession the frame was still in mint condition.
If you want to talk about weak frames then look at the new gixxer frames and yamaha subframes. Well, I guess the new Kawi subframes too.
Fact is, we just have a difference of opinion here and everyone is allowed to speak their minds. Other members can weigh their options by listening to numerous testimonials of people who have had one of these bikes. They can read the good and the bad and make a well-informed decision, hopefully.
But, if someone is filling their head w/ poppycock like a frame breaking from one stoppie then I don't know how well-informed their decision will be. Maybe my opinion is wrong though. I have been wrong before and I will again.

 

sorry about the ******* comment then. you just were coming off that way. it is your opinion and you are entitled to it. where the crack is(top of the frame) and that day was all about endos i have never dropped the but ( until yesterday) the crack was not there the day before and was there that night. im not trying to be and ******* either but i have no other explanation. some people on this site our just out to bash what people got to say but now i see you logic and know you not one of the ********.

 

I learned on one.. only thing that truly sucks about the carbs is that when i would drop mine hard, like from 12, the float levels would get all out of what half the time. sucks ending a session bc your bikes fucked and you only been there 20 min. bought mine for 1200 cash with a clean title and 4200 miles, built a 30 dollar cage and 12 bar, sold it for 1500 with more miles, popped for seals, and a misfire 8 months later.
