Cracked case and blown seals?

Well I own a 2002 DRZ400s. Went riding today. Got on it hard once or twice

down shifted came around a bend at about 45 MPH and the back wheel felt like it was on ice so I pulled over and found the engine, tire, plastics, everything covered in oil. Brought it home put 2 quarts in it fired it up and found this. It will take a minimum of a Grand to fix so Im thinking about parting it out on ebay for a sportbike

Sucks majorly. Not sure what caused it. Eddie Sennsor of speed works said a counter shaft nut failer. Who knows. Anyone in PA with a cheaper sportbike for sale? :YEAH

Re: Cracked case and blown seals?

A new motor is a grand easy. Sometimes pick up a motor for around 500 bucks - 900 bucks. Its either fix it or part it out .

These damn suzukis I swear. Wanted to drop kick her last night on the side of the road lol.

Re: Cracked case and blown seals?

I spoke with Eddie Sensor. To fix this right it almost costs as much as a new motor. I need to take the top end and check the cranks for oil starvation also Im not sure how far I drove till I noticed it. Could be a larger problem. Ill check into it more sunday night. Leaving here soon till sunday for camp.

:YEAH
