Re: is this proper way to do f4i clean air mod??????
the easiest way to keep oil from gettin into ur intake is to cut the crankcase breather hose and install a pcv valve into the middle of the hose this way it allows it to still vent but restricts oil from getting to the top of the pistons and locking the motor

There was a mod where you shove a marble in one of the rubber hoses goin to the airbox on my K6 gix pluggin it up tight.
Not sure if it did the same thing or if I need to do a type of clean air mod to it like I did to my F4i...
Anyone familiar with what I'm talkin about? It's kinda scary thinking that I was raggin **** outta that bike, and bouncin it off the lot left and right, and I never had a failsafe for hydro-lock!

the reason they dont come from the factory like that is the job of it is to inject fresh air into the exhaust to lower emissions, it reduces NOx and hydrocarbons.
the reason it gives you more horsepower is it creates more of a vac in the crankcase and seals the engine rings.
the r6's bennift the most.

So, the hose marked #3 comes out completely, and #4 plugs into where #3 came off the T valve? Then #1 and #2 connect to the T like in the Photo? Then you seal up the airbox how?

Re: is this proper way to do f4i clean air mod??????
^^1&2 connect to #4, I used a T from the hard ware store, and left the original T pluged in zip tied out of the way(it had wires opposed to vacum lines, an 07 zx6r). As for pluging the air box holes be creative, vacum cap(big) Jam a marble in a short length of hose, a rubber and a zip tie, duct tape what ever.

hey what did you zip tie it too. i did the same thing tied it to the new hose running to the crank case but i think its vibrating on the inside of the frame or something.. might just need to tie it up tighter idk??
and yeah same bike

so..... no hoses out of these 4 are going to be connected to the airbox? It would be cool to see a before and after pic of the hose routing. Cant tell with this pic.
