Like i said, i didn't want to sound like a dick, i just wish more people would consider safety gear I guess.

I'm guilty of it myself. It took me a few bad accidents, including a broken back with no ins (ATV racing, not stuntin), before I jumped on the safety train, and looking back I can't believe the risks I took. I still wear a t-shirt myself if it's really hot, but I do wear a helmet, knee/shin guards, etc and after seeing that squid rip his foot off i switched back to wearing boots when riding the lots.

Obviously it is everyone's own decision, this just how I feel about it. At any rate, best wishes to Doug and hope he heals up fast.

 

Eh I pay for my insurance if he did the same thing then there would be no need for this kind of thing. Also boots and no broken ankle like that. No sympathy for this sorry. He got hurt and that sucks but its nobody's fault but his own with the insurance and gear. Maybe he will learn a lesson. Maybe his friends will come through and help him out but in my opinion asking everyone on the internet to pay for this guys stupidity and wanting to look cool or be cool is inappropriate beyond all thoughts. Sorry to be like this but there is no reason to not take safety precautions. You can be safe and be covered by insurance, or you can be 2 freakin cool for all that and have things like this happen. Then its up to you to take care of your bills. No this isnt my actual first post. I have been on this site for years. I have been gone and forgot my user and pass and have changed email. Things have changed a lot. This use to be the place to come get some awesome stunt videos and have good discussions. Now it seems like the place to ask for handouts for people not smart enough to take care of themselves and to talk trash about everyone else. Sorry about your friend getting hurt. That sucks but again nobody's fault but his own. He has to step up and take care of it himself. Maybe he will learn his lesson and wear his gear and get insurance. He could have probably walked away bruised a little but not broken with some decent riding boots. Just call it a lesson learned and quit asking for handouts. How about you come pay some of my medical bills from having 2 ruptured discs and 2 herniated discs (not from anything to do with bikes). Should I get on the forums and ask for that? Sorry again to be a jerk but someone needs to do it.

if you read the post you will notice this thread isnt for asking for oppinions on wearing gear or having insurance or what should or shouldnt wear..

The reason stunt life is how you "think" it is, is because of people like you!
All you have posted in is this thread. You say stunt life USED to be the place to go for stunt videos and pictures? It still is. You just aren't in the right section!
I still post up every new video I make, I still post up pictures when I get out and take them. And people still blow them up with comments.
