Custom Bearings

Anyone know where you can get them made. Basically i have been through hell trying to get a 929/954 lower triple for my r1 forks i have tried 2 people on the forums here and both waited over a month and never received... 1 i was refunded for.

Basically long story short need a custom tapered roller bearing 30X47X15 (like the all ***** bearings) for the upper triple on the f4ez so i can use either a r1 triple clamp or gsxr triple and make things easy on myself.

or if someone knows where i can ACTUALLY get a 929/954 triple.

Re: Custom Bearings

use the complete R1 triple. The bottom triple will drop right into an F4i with no modding needed

For the upper bearing you need a special one. See the pic of the box with part # (it's a 1-piece sealed bearing). Get it, remove your upper bearing race in the frame, tap in the new bearing and you're done.

Re: Custom Bearings

I mis read what you said. I thought you meant the r1 would just drop right in without changing anything.

Yeah that is the exact problem i was having the f4i, R1 and GSXR lower bearings are the same.... But F4i upper was different from the R1 and GSXR

THANK YOU!

this should be a sticky....929 954 front ends are getting hard to find but the r1 front end is pretty easy to find

Re: Custom Bearings

After doing a little research you can also use NSK part # HR32906J

Which is the same diameter bearing. But is a Tapered Roller bearing like the all ***** bearings.

talkin about swappin front ends on the F4i...

I know you said R1, but this part will work with any gixxer front end also?
that's the only thing needed to use it if I find a whole new R1 front end?

How much does that bearing run?

thanks...

Re: Custom Bearings

if theres people rolling hundreds of feet on stock f4i front ends then why throw it in the trash and get a 929/954/R1 front end? if anything whynot just beef it up with better springs and fluid? i'll admit they do pogo and are a royal pain in the *** to learn stoppies on, but i did it and i dont have a damper or any mods except handlebars and steel lines. and my right fork seal leaks and has a sock zip tied around it.

Re: Custom Bearings

Sealed bearings work the best. I put a 05 GSX-R 1000 front end on a 93 GSX-R 1100 Then we did a GSX-R front end on a 600RR Sealed wheel bearings out of a GSX-R 600 wheel
