If anything, I might take him around the yard on the front of the 50 with you holding on tight

But i'd personally wait, tell hes 1, then start taking him arond on the 50 in the yard

once he hits 2, get him on the 50 alone! tearing that **** up ! :YEAH :YEAH

I'd probably wait till their 1 and can at least walk. But I'm no parent, I do have nephews though.

seems fine to me. the earlier you get em started the better off they will be when they get on a big bike.

As long as you aren't doing stunts and the kid has on some gear then go for it. I, personally would want to wait until they are old enough to start learning on their own.
Always remember that anything can go wrong. The brakes could quit, the throttle could get hung, etc. Just think about what if b/4 you put he/she up there.

+1... oh wait. haha. I'm working on the gear thing, she's had a helmet goggles (sp?) and gloves for quite a while now. got her a suzuki JR 50 and she wants to ride really bad, but I'm sticking to "gotta ride the bicycle with out training wheels first" so the 50 is hidden in the garage. haha

funny i was wondering the same thing, got two 2 month old baby girls. think of it this way you get them into your expensive habit... then you just tripled your expense in that habit. i think i might get them into legos instead . then again im sure that perspective will change once i have my boys

Re: does anyone ride thier kid around on thier bike or 50?

I would say a lil early.......but my son will be born in about 2-3 weeks, and he'll be riding in the tank dent on the F4ez within the first month....but obviously that will be in his infant carrier or something similar to that while barely on idle.

by 3 he'll have his own dirtbike tho!
