Re: Stuntwars Inc. acquired?

It is in a Florida magazine called Born to Ride and after reading it...it is true, Mr. Colbert has sold 40 percent of Stuntwars to someone.

investors are a good sign.

The AMA was bought by Daytona Motorsports Group too. Harley bought MV. Progress doesn't always fly in a stright line.

Re: Stuntwars Inc. acquired?

It brakes down like this! AMA was the last true forum of racing left in the USA, it was about the rider and the manufacture! you could run any brand tire, suspension and so on that you wanted "with in class rules!" and in superbike {{the class I race in}} any motor mods, rims size ,brake components that you wanted! Now that DMG AKA nascar got there $$$ grubby hands on it they are trying to change that make it about the team! I.E you don’t hear Nascar call it the “Chevy car” it’s the Interstate battery car ,----cuz they pay them more $$ then chevy would!!! This is a JOKE! And will hurt motorcycle development to the 10th power! You see they do there R&D on the track! And if Nasbike gets there way the 600cc class will be the primer class in racing! They will impose HP limits and tell you what brand tire, shock, exhaust and so on you can run!<--- based on who will pay DMG the most to use there stuff! This is why every racer is NOT in favor of the change and why the manufactures have now laid there plans for there own race series! NASBIKE IS A ******* JOKE!

Re: Stuntwars Inc. acquired?

is there any possibility they'll blow up the market and leave the game alone?

marketing-wise NASCAR has set the bar pretty high, and the drivers get paid a lot more than AMA racers. I guess I look at things from a sales perspective now. Not very objective.

I haven't spoken to any racers about this, but it bums me out to think DMG would screw things up like that.

No they bought it to chang what AMA was about, and make tons of $$ at it! and as far as not paying what Nascar pays I don't know what they make but a friend of mine just signed a 1.5 mil contract to race for 3 years! and thats not bad at all!

I hope it was Benny T!

I talked about him to Kevin H a few times. Benny kicked that bikes *** and it wasn't even set up for him originally, it was when Haner had pneumonia. He really performed and was also very congenial and charming which is nice for dealing with the media, which almost everyone but Rock Page seems to be allergic to...

Re: Stuntwars Inc. acquired?

Wow, good stuff Thad! Congratualtions.

I am so happy for Benny. about the sponsorship (highsides obviously suck)

He stands out as a very natural rider. He doesn't seem to have the super stiff body language some of the more intense guys tend to get in the straights and his corners are ***** out. Plus he strikes me as being someone who has his heart in it.
