I was riding with a friend earlier just headed to the video store but long story short he was in the left part of the lane i was in the right slightly behind him and we had to turn right he started to turn and i had no choice but to move and hit a curb head on after still clipping his bike (cage to cage) and unfortunately my friends leg. I was thrown from the bike at 35 or so and flew about 20 feet and was brought to a dead stop by my back wrapping around a metal street sign which had gotten bent. I couldn't tell you it was anyones fault but i am thankful we both walked away from it with nothing more than some serious bruises and a bit of road rash.

Long story short the 100 dollar vest is probably the only reason i am not in a wheelchair right now. You can see the 2 lines in my arm from the metal sign pole.

As for my bike bent forks, Front and back rim, cracked the tail up pretty good and pushed my radiator in.

Hah luckily i have an r1 front end that only needs an upper triple and front fender to go on.

Thank the rest of you i am just happy to be walking it scared the **** out of me to say the least.

When I don't wear my leather jacket, I wear my field armor. After sliding 20ft on my back on that thing and walking away just fine I SWEAR by it!

Same here, had mine for a while now and it hasn't ripped or torn on the fabric and the exoskeleton is still in great shape... other than the deep gouges from the pavement. hahaha

glad ur ok . i ordered a icon vest a week or so ago, the flooding in the mid west is ******* shipping up, just waiting for it to get here. i've talked to a lot of stunters/riders and they all swear by that vest

 

your kidding right? you would be more hurt right now.
that vest has hugh rashes in it, a lot happend to that vest imo.
are you going to replace it? or .....?
i'm sure you can still use it, but I would replace it and show this one off as a looked what happened to me,after all its damaged safty equipment.
