Where do you get your stators from?
No chance in hell i'm paying $500 retail for a stator. Where do you guys usually find them? Wrecking yard? I have heard bad things about aftermarket stators (Even though they are cheap!). Somebody steer me in the right direction.

Dude is that stator made out of platinum with diamonds on it or something? Most new stators straight from the dealers an **** is at max $200.
Update: Wow Kawasaki parts are ******* expensive...still not $500 but damn $360 O_o A gsxr stator only cost $160

Thanks guys. I never really looked at retail for a 636 stator... That's just what the stealership down the street told me. I totally forgot about ebay. Never actually used it. I have a good buddy who can hook me up with cost on a oem stator. I'll have to inquire as to how much those actually run.

Dealer mark up on parts are crazy as hell...I used to know a parts department guy at a Yamaha dealer. He had picked up a crashed R1 and was putting it back together. He told he his price is cost plus like 10% or something like that. He showed me how much he paid for his gas tank....$220...retail? $650
