dopped brand-new x11

it was on my tank, one of my friends accidentally hit it and it dropped...so maybe a 3 foot drop.

it landed right on TOP of the helmet...you guys think it's still safe to ride on?

Re: dopped brand-new x11

It all depends on who you ask. If you ask a helmet salesman he will tell you to get a new one. I have dropped my helmets several times. One was even in a wreck and the inner didn't start seperating for over 2 years after a couple more falls.
But, noone knows the exact condition of one after a fall unless you can find somewhere to run some tests on it.

Re: dopped brand-new x11

well, it's not a stunt helmet...it's my street/canyons helmet. that's why i want to make sure it's still "safe" to ride on.

the guy that dropped it is a good friend of mine and even offered to buy me a new one, but i like i said, i'm not gonna make him buy a new one unless this one is fucked.

i guess i won't know until i send it to shoei for inspection.

p.s. someone told me i can run it through one of those security x-ray machines at the court/airport and see if there are any cracks...true/false?
