how can you tell if the thermostat is working i want to ride tomorrow and on my 954 its kinda involved getting the thermostat and checking it..what else can i do its not boiling over but the fan will not shut off and my frame is ******* killing me it is to hot to touch>? any help

That **** is ******* crazy... sounds just like mine. If you fond anything out, tell me. we pretty much have the same bike just different sizes.

well your fan doesn't come on tell around 220-230

so that means if your bike is running normal, your frame should get hot enough to burn you..................


Get some gauges on your bike though, how do you know if your oil pump fails? Or if you cooling system is working???

I have some on the way. bad idea to run without them i guess. Im just wanting to ride tomorrow, is there some lame check i can do to get me by till the gauges show up? i just want to make sure my thermostat is not stuck shut....o'well guess i can wait till next week it just sucks
