There was a better video of it posted a while back where you could see the brake lever - just like your foot brake.

gary heffernan did some sick off peg circle combos without a handbrake its possible

but like towliee said no handed circles with no brake??

Gary did combo circles with no handbrake. So did Hurricane James. And Jesse did seat stander circles real fast with no handbrake.
