Hey i want to be able to run a switch so that i can turn off my headlight when im at the lot. How can I do this? Just cut the headlight wire and run a switch in it mounted on the clip ons? And if this is all I need to do Does anyone know which wire i have to do this too and where its located at?

Umm............unplug the high beam. get to the lot and switch to the high beam. Magic!:YEAH

i think both the lights stay on when the high beam is on so the low beam would still be there...
id like to have a switch that shut my headlights and tail lights off

 

unplug you low and high beam and plug the low into the high beam wireing and just use the factory switch

 

I just eliminated my controls and put a toggle switch inline

 

if you cut the wires just do this so you can just use your high low beam as a switch if you want

get a volt tester and just test the wires flip the high on and off and see which gets a reading when you flip it on and connect the wires to that

thats what i did on my old bike and it worked fine

 

i spliced into my tail light ground and added a toggle switch to my clip on, so when the cops lights go on...... *click* ...... mine go off.

 

i just wired my SD2 headlight i got from hai right before the plug for the high beam. so i just run mine off of the switch thats already there. if you have the stock headlight im sure there is a way you can do this also, i think it was already mentioned in this thread...

 

so can I just run a toggle switch in the wire for the low beam? This woud
ld work fine wouldnt it?
