Thumbs up Re: No muffler

I have wanted to do this for a while .... found a post on an R1 forum

http://www.r1-forum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=100536

Gives you a run down on what you need for a to make an ok baffle could be better to buy one from an exhaust manufacturer lil more cash but probably be better off kinda curious how this would look on my 900rr..

Re: No muffler

just seems stupid to me. it really serves no purpose at all other than to be way too loud all the time

if you really need it out of the way for stunting then get rid of it. but i dont think this is the case in this thread

Ya, make sure to composite blade on a chop saw for best results, after u cut it shorter and drill new holes to rivet the end cap back on take some epoxy on a brush to the areas that have been cut and drilled so the fibers dont come apart there. make sure u cut the length u want off from can from the exhaust tip side, thats the side that is free to come lose inside the can. drill the rivets out first and take the end cap off. leave the packing in and take the chop saw and cut. put the end cap back on and mark ur holes to drill, then just rivet it back together. Only cut a couple inches off there's no need for more than that.
