Aceribis cyclopes headlight?????

I bought a suzuki sv650 as my crusing bike and so my father and brother can ride with me somtimes. Its a suxuki sv650 naked so it has a stupid looking headlight and it has to go. Im likeing the cyclops headlight. But my only concern is how dose the lighting for night riding compare to a stock headlight. I dont want to buy it and then spend the time puting it on and then find out its hard *** hell to see at night.

Thanks
Kevin

Re: Aceribis cyclopes headlight?????

they are not bright at ALL!!!! its two 35watt bulbs. the only time they are bright enough is if you are riding streets with plenty of light to light the road up for you. or if you dont want to see in front of you then yes they are bright enough. this is not a headlight that is made for normal driving. mine lit up about 10ft in front of me. it works for a stunt light to be legal but thats it. you dont have to many options though. and if you ever get in to the country or a road with no street lights, good luck!

You can replace the bulbs with 55w bulbs, same as stock (of course, most are flood, so they don't project it as far forward)

But talking about country roads.. I've rode mine 150+ miles from my house to Omaha MANY times with my acerbis.

Hell I've taken that trip at least 5 times with an acerbis at night time

Sure its not as bright as stock, but if you don't break 100mph, and you don't wear a tinted visor, you can see fine...

Lemme ask you this, can you wheelie at night time without a spotter? I do it all the time just fine... Just gotta pay attention and look hard at whats in front of ya!

Re: Aceribis cyclopes headlight?????

I ****** hate mine, I think its the ugliest pile of **** ever. It isnt bright at all, I even replaced the bulb with a bigger brighter bulb, think it was halogen... still sucks *****, honestly it throws more light to the road where my tire is than anywhere else. If you are going to but it make a bracket so you can tuck wires and your guage in it, I took a bracket off of an old bike that holds teh headlight to the forks and I used it on mine, its much sturdier and doesnt jiggle like the rubber ties that the light come with, If you wanna see a pic ill take one for you its a cool setup but like i said the light is fugly. I like the new "Acerbis Led vision" check it ouyt it looks ****** sick has like 10 LED's on each side plus 2 lights in the front

Mine should be here Wed. Red led vision !

Beware though, I was talking to Acerbis on the phone and we both had Hai's website pulled up, and he said that three of the ones they were selling as Acerbis were straight knock offs. I can't remember which ones, but you can cross reference to their website though.

Re: Aceribis cyclopes headlight?????

Here are some pics of the cyclops, as you can see its gay, lol there are other ways to mount it, but my buddy used the rubber straps for it and it always was jiggling around plus i wanted my cluster mounted up front so this way made it easy to do so... The last pic is of my bike when it had some plastics still on it lol They are sitting back at home in NY all pretty with fresh paint
