Or just call the Newport VA police dept.... it's all public record... nothing is confidential (unless there is an ongoing investigation). And if it is under investigation, they have to tell you that.

It's actually pretty simple to find out the truth, or if anything happened at all.

I would myself, but I don't have the time nor the interest to do so.
