It's the same design they used back in the day basically!

Just maybe if they tweaked their cages a little bit for multiple contact points instead of one long slider that can move around, it may work better for the newer cast frame bikes.

It's not the cage's fault, maybe it's the bikes fault.
Think about it,
The race is leaning towards stiffer power to weight ratios from the factory, and each year things are gettin lighter and more powerful....
The frames are hollow and cast on these next generation race homoligation supersports. I shouldv'e just taken the same attitude with the frame as I did the subframe is all. I mean **** how many threads were there with busted 06 gixxer 600 frames in it right down that weld?

see how it becomes my fault then?? I ain't bitter. It was a multitude of factors that caused it. That's stuntin! & I'd do it again!!!
thats very true, wish it werent
fi cages do well on f4i's but they are tanks so yeaaa

Re: 07 600rr crash

OK OK. I was doin slow wheelies and got too much on the throttle. I aint givin up wheelies just cos of this crash but the point of this thread is showing what happens to an 07 with an mxd cage. Heres the better pics cos I couldn't upload em cos they were too big. You can see how the top of the 3 point cage went straight thru the frame on the right side but not as bad on the left. Motor mounts were sweet though and the rear engine hanger mount was fine. I prolly wouldn't stunt this bike as a big crash bike but would have for general street wheelies.

Yep that's fucked. Buy a new frame and transfer everything over. Should take a week of labor lol.

Re: 07 600rr crash

I went to a FI cage after my powers.....it worked good but i always had in the back of my mind the horror stories i hear on here about them ripping motor mounts out. So my new tygershark got here last wednesday. it looks quality and I have heard it can take multiple pancakes.:YEAH
