When I was 18 and squidding it up on my new R1, every day I rocked a wheelie past a cop that was sitting somewhere..... I never got pulled over because my bike was about as loud as a hair dryer with the stock pipe! LOVED IT!!!! **** ON LOUD PIPES!!!!!

I got pulled over like that a few weeks back by a state trooper. Dick started w the mirrors then went on to the blinkers and then the inspection and blah blah blah. Walked away w no tickets and only a warning :YEAH Nice to have pba cards and shields in your wallet

 

A cop can pull you over for ANYTHING!!!! All they need is a reason. A cop can do anything they want when it comes to pulling you over, getting you out of your car, and just overall GIVE YOU A HARD TIME.

You HAVE to bite your tongue and just be extremely polite, and if you feel that particular officer is being rude or unjust you always call for his/her ranking officer. Otherwise, arguing gets you NOWHERE fast with cops... probable cause is enough for a cop to do whatever he/she wants WHENEVER he/she wants.

 

i never understood mirrors on a bike....to me it's just another money generator for cops...mirrors don't make me feel any safer...you gotta check ur blind spots regardless...

 

Mirrors are for seeing BEHIND you. If you dont have eyes in the back of your head then your cranking your neck around every 15sec to see if some ******* is about to run you over. If not, your gonna miss that fast approaching vehicle behind you that might hit you or the cop that snaked up outta no where. I agree you gotta check blind spots regardless. Here in sac, california its so congested that not running mirrors is like playing russian roulette, in my opinion.

i run no mirrors never gotten pulled over FOR IT but have gotten cited for it in addition to other things. it's a fix it ticket i go to wal-mart buy an ATV mirror.....bring the receipt to court they dismiss the charge and return the mirror. just head check like you should every time you switch lanes anyways.

Yea, I gotta admit I'm starting to come around a wee little bit for Nascar. The opening ceremony the other day was BADASS. The bagpipers and fly-by were sick. That country singer sucked though!!!
