Re: Convertibars????
I have them also...they are pimp and hold up very well. there is a solid mount 0 degree version as well. The only complaint I could have was having to tighten the actual bar tubes to the pivot a lot for the first few weeks. But they stay in place well now, even after hitting the ground!
I love them... how can you go wrong with infinite adjustability!

Re: Convertibars????
to anyone out there that runs em, if you rotate the throttle side bar to change the angle do you have to drill a new hole for the throttle housing stud thats inside of it? anyone knows about how much they go for? thanx.

Re: Convertibars????
the throttle still turns the same way and ammount with it clocked differently. it will just move the on/off switch and starter button.

Re: Convertibars????
As wide as you could want em..... I like em real wide.
The shadow and flash on one side of the bike.
I've been using mine for a little while now and would reccomend them TO EVERYONE. And you know me... I will NOT reccomend ANYTHING that I don't think is 100% legit.
I'm running the 0 degree FIXED bars.... ie: there is NO moving parts besides the tube clamp and the fork clamp.
They have hit the ground quite a few times now and are pretty much bullet proof.
Hits that would have turned FI bars to garbage. I ran vortex briefly and ran FI for 2 years. I have found my clip-on of choice and will not ever change up.
They go down in my book on the same pages as SI cages, HHD top triples, HHD brackets, SI round bars..... ie: TOP OF THE LINE kick *** products.

Re: Convertibars????
take a close look at this pic and you can see exactly how they mount up an how they can be adjusted.
And they are TIG welded 304 stainless tubing. Not anything close to "paper mache"

Re: Convertibars????
i have been running them for the last 3 years and they are sick, hold up just fine, i have bent a few but i crash a lot, and i have crashed hard and they have held up. they are built so that they move rather then bend so you can just kick them back in place. but just like any other clip on, if you crash hard enough there going to bend.
the new bars have pre drilled wholes for the throttle to mount in and they rotate to wherever you want it to sit.
the positive about the bars are you can basicly mount them exactly like moto bars and still be able to put your dampner on without havin to get bar risers, the if you want tem stock thats just a few bult terns and bam u got it. i have mine set up just like upside down vortex, love them. only negitive is the price, i think the set up is like 3hundred somthin, go to the web site to find the price.
also if u put a 929 or 954 front end on a f4i u dont have to **** with lowering the front end, so u dont **** your radiator up.
