Stock ECU remapping?

Can a stock ECU be remapped without having to buy any extra components like a Power Commander?

I'm just curious if this can be done on my F4i at a dyno shop or something?

As far as I know only the GSXR's OEM ECU's can be remapped...

Well that sucks! It still seems to bog quite a bit, and I know this bike used to have a Power Commander on it.

Would I be getting a bog if the dude that had the PC on before me didn't reinstall the stock map before taking out the PC???

No because when you remove a PC it just goes back to stock, the PC doenst change your OEM ECU at all...It goes between the ECU and FI and makes changes inbetween, remove it and it just goes back to using the ECU mapping with no changes...
