i gotta 06 600rr frontend im gonna put on my F4i. do i use the 600rr upper n lower tripples or do i have to get 929/954 tripples/bearings?

also should i use the f4i or 600rr headset bearings?

Unless you leave the clipons under the triple, you're going to have issues with the front wheel hitting the radiator

I would guess 929/954 lower though since thats the trick with the 1k front end

600rr is 48mm and 1000rr/929/954 is 50mm.

You need to use the 600rr lower triple and just cut the stops off. I have several friends that have done it down here but was having a brain fart.

jerOmy has 600rr front end, he had to cut like 75% of the stops off otherwise the bars will barly turn

yes, but you gotta swap races in the frame(unless it already has allballs)

after removing that much of the stops are they still functional?????????
i'd think it would'nt be good to compleatly remove the stops, because when the bike is dropped wouldnt the bars just keep turning untill the forks hit the frame or bars/clip-ons hit the tank?

bearing and races the same , you need the lower triple from the rr. I have a triple with risers if you are interested

i had the same problem with those forks etc. you will have to cut the whole stop off to get any type of turning radius. thats why i sold them

allballs are tapered roller bearings, thats what 600rr has(I think) and f4i has regular ball bearings

ITs a direct swap, I just did it 2 days ago

You have to either trim the stops, or cut them off and install ones yourself..


I just cut the stops off, and drilled holes in the lower triple, and installed bolts with nuts going through to be the stops.


The bearings swap fine, you can use your stock f4i bearing, or the 600rr bearings..

You can also use a f4i or 600rr all ***** bearing kit with it.

I have the same setup, its awsome! I just ground down the stops until I was happy with the clearance, just about a finger between the frame! you'll be happy with the setup! and 954/929 trees will not work~!
