Re: handbrake problem ?!?!?!?!?!?!

check three things rich

1- make sure your res isn't over filled because when the brake fluid gets hot it expands and can creat pressure in the system and that will lock up your brake..
2- some times on gsxr masters you need to file down the little pin that the lever pushes on
3-make sure if you are running the stock caliper that the slides are clean and lubed so the caliper moves freely

yea he knows whats up above , id say its probably boiling your fluid or gettin hott and expanding jamin up. i had that problem with my front brakes id sit there for a while and let it cool down and it free up does yours do that ? what kinda fluid you run ?

Re: handbrake problem ?!?!?!?!?!?!

is it a stock lever on there? Or is it a cheap aftermarket lever? If its aftermarket you prob gotta grind down the pin as stated by omr.

Yo bro, that is an aftermarket lever on it from parts unlimited. Never had any problems with it ? Used it as a HB and a front master

Re: handbrake problem ?!?!?!?!?!?!

Make sure that you are using dot 4 or 5 fluid. make sure the brake line is not kinked anywhere.

Re: handbrake problem ?!?!?!?!?!?!

I had my gf crash on my R1, I put an F4i lever on the front master and it jammed the front brakes. The master is really touchy if you don't have the right lever or if you don't shave it like OMR said it will stick. We learned the hard way.

Re: handbrake problem ?!?!?!?!?!?!

sounds like your relief port in your master cylinder could be clogged. Lok in your master resivior and see if there are two holes the larger one is your supply port and the smaller is the relief. If it is small enough and gets clogged it will keep fluid from flowing back to relieve pressure when you release the lever. therefore built up pressure stays built ut ...resulting in a locked brake system.. Check it out. Could be wrond but something to look into! Take Care
