Working on the endos, little help please...
Hello all,
I've been working on my edoes for a little while now and thought I'd ask for a little advice. Thanks in advance.
When I started, I wasn't getting high enough fast enough and the bike would go to one side. I think I read that this is called "plowing". So I started getting them higher faster and now I'm rolling them about 20-30 feet or so. Now, near the end of the roll, the back end will go to one side and I was wondering, how exactly do you guys move the handle bars so that the whole bike turns at the end so I don't end up high-siding because of coming down crooked?
In other words, I can't seem to stop my front wheel from going in a straight line in the path I started. Eventually I'll ask how to move the body weight so I can steer/lean to move the bike while rolling them, but I'm not that far yet.
Thanks.

yeah, I'm sorry, I'm not trying to turn yet, I'm trying to keep the whole bike straight, but I want to know what to do "IF" the rear of the bike is turning at the end so that I don't put it down crooked.
Thanks.
Thanks.

its all about u're body postioning....u're head and u're shoulders will make the bike do weird things like u've described if u're not lined up, make sure the road/parkin lot u're practicing on is really flat, most curve for rain drainage lot at punishment's bodypositioning in his pics....and practice....practice.....practice.....thats how u do it....try not to stab the brake either use control and feel out u're brakes too

I Just Wrecked A Stoppie Last Week, Luckly It Was When I Slowed Down So I Was Only Doing Like 5-10 Mph. My Dumbass Gave It To Much Brake And I Think There Was A Bump In The Lot

IMO stoppies are the sickest trick. It isn't like a wheelie where you can hit the back brake if you go too far back. On an endo if you go too far it's head first into the pavement with a 400lb bike on top of you. My hats off to the guys that endo at 45+mph and roll em out. It's still too crazy for me.

ive been noticing the same thing on my 636 but the forks are kinda tweaked (waiting on me replacements). im coming in at 35/40 and getting them up with no problem. what speed do you guys usually come in at and do you let out the brake a little to role them? sorry if im jacking your thread.

the trick to keeping the bike strait is to drop your shoulder when the bike starts to kick to the side. example..if the bike starts to kick to the right you drop your right shoulder. also keep thoise arms strait!!! once you find BP, dropping your shoulders will just sort of click one day..it's alot of practice and be ready because we all go down..and it hurts... i wrecked at like 60 and broke my collar bone...just be careful and take ur time it'll come

Alright, so if the bike is kicking to the right, dropping the right shoulder would push the right handle bar down (if you keep your arms straight). I'll give this a try and see how it goes. Thanks.
I appreciate not being flamed either. I'm no squid, just new to the forum. I ride 2-mile standup wheelies on the rear sets, no rear brake, so this isn't the only trick in my book, I'm just trying to perfect it this year.

Here's a video I made of me and my buddies... (I'm the one in the blue jeans) The dude with the red pants is the one I'm trying to figure out how he's turning at the end... Watch him and you'll understand my question.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N02itSfOrgY

Pretty squidish if you ask me. I mean, think of the term squid...when you go down at those speeds your gunna look like a squid on the pavement.
Double back peg with no rear brake? Not gunna be cool when an unexpected gust of wind pushes you past BP and you become a statistic.
Learn ur back brake...

Ur not hi enough. Plain and simple man. Tip'r steeper. I can roll out a 60 footer from 40 mph and I'm still plowing bad, but they go straight.

Re: Working on the endos, little help please...
Ok, I thought the "not high enough" portion was during the rolling part. I didn't realize it had to do with the end too. I think that's my problem.
Oh and by the way, it's not "double back pegs" as in passenger pegs, I'm on my pegs, just not using the rear brake. I've done it that way for 3 years. I'm just now trying the rear brake to see if I can slow down my wheelies a little. I end up getting behind the balance point well, but then just draggin the brake. I think I'm still maintaining the same speed though, not slowing down. I've just started this, so I got to get some practice in for a while before I get it.

not to thread jack but people didnt always know to use the rear brake. Some people will argue you're a squid for not knowing how to wheelie using only throttle control and engine brake. My homie will bust combos all day on the freeway and has NEVER even had a handbrake. Started stunting back in like 01. Now he'll just bust out every now and then when he rides once or twice a year. Still smoother than 90% of the guys I've seen in my life.

Re: Working on the endos, little help please...
yo bro i flipped a month ago, been doing long endos for two years, 8 and 9 hundred footers, practice practice practice, thats what made me good, and be prepared to flipp, it hurts bad, fucked up my knee, knee cap and tendons hanging out, knee pads and a back pad and helmet fosho, the most important thing to remeber is smooth on the brake, i watch people all the time come flying like 3rd gear pinned and are not smooth on the brake and only roll like 150ft, when you can come in 1st gear pinned or 2nd moteret throttle and be smooth and roll 3 to 4 hundo. but repition and dirt bike bars and a hyperpro dampner is what worked for me.. oh and a lot of crashing those floaters good luck buddy take your time
