Re: SF Headlights

they all kind of suck for out put...I think there is only one that is DOT approved (dont know which one though)...if you can find out which one is DOT approved that will probably be your best bet...and go with that one...

I think you have an option to get the straps or the other mounting hardware. The light output is ok, not the best for night riding but decent. Def. not as bright as your stock headlight. Mounting is pretty simple if you ask me

Re: SF Headlights

I hated the cyclops when I first saw it but after looking at it more and more I think it looks badass.

Re: SF Headlights

they all suck for output. Do not try and put any after bulbs or you will melt the lens except for the cyclopes.

There is the Demon Headlight which is a copy of the Acerbis Diamond but the output is the same as the diamond also.

I was told that you could put 50W bulbs in the Blitz without it melting. I'm pretty sure I remember some guy posting that he had put 80W ones it, but he had figured out some way to vent the back so the heat could escape...

Re: SF Headlights

my aftermarket bulbs (same part number as what i pulled out) seem to be holding up pretty well. i guess i'll pay more attention to it whether it warms up or not. i put a narrower (i think) spot light in my high beam of my diamond and it still sucks ***. do cops seriously check if stuff is DOT approved? very ghey...

I bought that same demon headlight and found that the mounting brackets dont fit very well so i used zip ties and not too happy with that. gonna try to make it fit somehow.

They sell the rubber mounting brackets for them just like the Acerbis has. I have a shipment of the rubber mounts comnig in from the UK soon if anyone needs them.
