Re: Advice for denting?

I'm sure this will be a flame-fest... but I'm wondering the same thing so hopefully there will be at least one useful post.

Re: Advice for denting?

denting is not as easy as it looks dont get crazy with it cause u can go to far and not b able to put gas in it!! just go a lil then sit on it and see if its comfy go in the search there is alot of pics on this. O and dont use grip tape cause in a month ull spend as much on pants as u would on a new tank . i bondod my tank and then used spray on bed liner and then painted over that with the color that i wanted the tank and it works great and no holes in the pants

Re: Advice for denting?

I used some body work tools that were laying around....I also put a blanket over the tank...

I pounded it in...then sanded by hand...then used black primer...then black spray on liner...

Mine is too deep too...I can still put gas in it but its just too deep and definatly over kill....but at least I've never sliped out of it...

not tall not short....i'm 6'0" 165....average build....mine is in the prefect position front to back...I just feel like I didnt need to get near as deep just to keep my skinny *** in the dent...but it's not bad for a first dent...
