id say the 1000rr front end does take a few days to get used to it being shorter/lower, as for after getting used to it it is awesome for stoppies. the bad: only had it on my bike for 1 month and allready blew a fork seal. Iam getting them fixed this week and see how long the new seals last...if they blow out quick ill try something different.

Re: 1000RR Frontend on F4i

i run a complete 1krr front.... an heard, also read a bunch of times here that people use 954 lowers. i tried an the tubes were way off, so i'm a bit confused on how u guys are doin it.

an thought about it for a bit, 1krr an 954 tripples have different rake angles, correct? so if you mis match tripples your gonna have tripples trinna do different rake angles on the same tubes.... so either one of two things are gonna happen, 1 your gonna flex your tubes when you tighten down your tripples or 2 the bearings aren't gonna seat completly, like the front side is gonna squeeze more than the back or vise versa...

not trinna say that no one has done this or that it can't be done. but when i do the math thats what i come up with.
