Re: 1000RR Frontend on F4i

I run 1000rr forks, wheel, rotors, calipers with 954/929 lower triple, and Hohey top triple (worth every penny) with clip-ons. No tire rubbing problems, didn't have to mess with the steering stop tabs (thats cuz the 929/954 and f4i stops are in the same place) and I love it. I wouldn't do it any other way.

I have ran the bike like this for about 10 months now and have done nothin but give it the business. Never had a problem with the rim being weak and my seals just blew for the 1st time last week.

And back to the original question, the main differance from the 954/929 front and the 1000rr it the 1000rr front comes with the radial brake system. (from running both setups i feel a pretty decent difference in braking power from the 1000rr). Besides that the forks are ALMOST the same so no REAL difference in suspension, none in length.

If you're gonna run the 1000rr front this setup is the best way to run it if you running clip-ons. Id put up a pic but its in pieces cuz im doing my seals.

Just my . Hope this helps.
