damn that's a high idle!

and you cut the female and nutted

So with the idle mod you will have two idle screws?

yes the with the idle mod you are actually adjusting the throttle where as with the stock idle adjusted you're actually adjusting the "choke" its not really a choke on fi bikes but it imitates it or something.....i dunno how to explain it technically

......anybody feel free to explain it correctly

No No I get it.... I set my idle with the stock one, and set my rpm with the new one.

Clean air mod, idle mod, tip sensor. 3 BASIC mods that need to be done. If you are still experiencing bog... new plugs. And after that, you can always experiment with gearing, air filters (aftermarket such as K&N) and slip-ons.

Re: F4i Stunting!!! Help Me!!!! Clean air? Idle mod? BD dying?

I just did my plugs and put a K&N in the bike over winter. And I also read that the clean air box mod can help keep the engine from hydro locking. "a cylinder filling up with oil".

No! you leave the stock one at normal idle and the new one you use to adjust idle, when you wunna go back to normal idle spin it down n your other one will catch

does the clean air mod have any negative affect on your bike? Does it make the bike run any different?

i haven't noticed that much of a difference, but in the main post about the air box mod, there are several posts regarding the issue, and most say it only has positive benefits.

You are right, but it will help minimize it. If he really wants to go the extra mile to make the bog almost obsolete he needs to do a valve adjustment and then sync the throttle bodies.

Free: People will say both ways; Run AM exhaust and AM air filter or run stock exhaust and stock air filter.

After doing the 2 motor mods and getting rid of the tip sensor, start playing with gearing combos, exhaust and intake combos. I still haven't found the perfect combo on my bike.

The air mod redirects any oil that may feed into the top half of the motor (say you tumble your bike and it lands upside down) into the exhaust ports and out of the exhaust. I also find that it gives it more low end and feels a bit smoother due to decreased crank case pressure.

Re: F4i Stunting!!! Help Me!!!! Clean air? Idle mod? BD dying?

if i understand the clean air mod correctly its only purpose would be to keep oil out of the airbox. there wouldnt be any performance difference. cuz all you are doing is rerouting the hot air from the crankcase. Instead of going back through the airbox its going straight out the exhaust
