This may help, I change mine every 1.5k in my stuntbike and use synthetic.

i used to use Honda's oil, but i'm switching over to Amsoil cuz i'm getting a pretty good deal on it. some guy's i know who ride track also use mobil 1 gold cap car oil and it's held up for them nicely. if i switch to a regular oil, thats the one i'll switch to.

Re: Which oil?

I have a buddy that used to race go-carts and he said he lost two motors due to amsoil, or at least that's his belief.... he said the oil was thick like bubble-gum in the crank-case. He even had an amsoil sponsorship and chose to stop running it.

there are just better oils out there. nothing wrong with the manufacturer's though. u can use it for the life of the bike as long as u change it out as often as they say. some oils can just maintain their properties better over harder use and longer period of time.

one of our reps explained it to me, i am rusty on what he said. but he said something like all off those are the same just with different names, its all just petrouleum based, and they get it in bulk as like left over stuff from the oil companys like exxon or something like that, its really cheap.

Good ole rotella in EVERYTHING I own (car, f4i, and 2 dirt bikes)

Damn near everyone that owns a $300,000 peice of machinery runs it in their equipment..

I'll trust it in my $3,000 bike!
