Just dug this up and maybe it would help your friend not have the FI light on.

Herb the jumper mod doesnt help the FI light, but it is a good mod, 10 free hp.

The servo in my 05 is pooched so I cant even do the servo stopper with some flat stock so instead of getting a new servo I found Ivan's Servo Eliminator http://www.ivansperformanceproducts.com/other.htm Its $110 and it gets rid of the problem for good, because if the servo stoppers slip or come loose or the servo pooches out the FI light comes back on, worth the $110 imo.

All i know is Gary rawked the **** out of his with no problems.
I took on to Zürich and E-Dub and Apex saw how easy it went on the 05 636 and were like wow.
Anyway didn't have any problems with it at all.
This is a first i have herd of it being the bar! All i know to tell your friend is get rid of the 05 06 and go with the O.G. of bikes! The 03 04

Oh and did you call Ian about this? Because i know if there was anything wrong with his product he will take care of it! He stands behind his product %100
As do i..
Good luck with it.

Mine definitely didn't go on that easy. I did tweak my subframe though but I tapped it pretty hard... I know I was talking to SICNATE and he said the subs are really weak like you can push on it with just your hands and it will bend

Re: 05/06 636 subframe/SI round bar? Not happy

my bike has the answer for the 05 06 installed...I am in texas right now, so I'm not sure when I can post pics, but I have a Racing905 round bar that has a plate that goes across from side to side and bolts to the actual subframe tubes instead of just mounting to the cast rear section, and then I have a 905 subcage that incorporates small solid bars from the pegs to the 12bar mounting bolts so it triangulates for strength...no more weak subframe problem...scrape away.

And I have no undertail exhaust by the way...the pipe is cut off by the swingarm.
