What is this piece??
I just replaced the rear brake pads 03/04 636...
This little piece popped out, not sure where it goes or what it is used for
and no im not reffering to the zip-tie

**** I TOOK A BIKE APART ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE FRAME (JUNK BIKE) JUST TO DO IT AND LEARN (COST ME ALMOST NOTHING) AND I SAW THAT....BUT I FORGET . IF I THINK OF IT I'LL LET U KNOW, IF IT RUNS THE SAME WAY THEN WHAT HE SAID......GARBAGE

otherwise known as the brake pad guide. it slides into the caliper and one side of the pad goes in to the appropriate depth and you just sllip the other side in. this also crats a 'lax tension' for the pad so that it doesn't 'float' in the caliper
of yeah... you should only have 1 as it goes on the 'outside' side of the caliper

its spare parts, everything you break down has them when there reassembled. and they all work fine without these spare parts. **** try doing a radio!
