Re: "teach" step
the guy that welded it up i grew up with. he is a hell of a welder as well as a machinist and did a great job(only asked $40), but when i went to leave the shop his dad, who owns the machine shop, asked what it was for, when we told him, he gave me my money back, saying "i don't want to be responsible for that". so i owe my friend some beers !lol!
thanks jeff

Re: "teach" step
those thing must be made of gold, cause everybody wants $100
teach was saying, the advantage is that your weight is back farther, which is better. makes sense

Re: "teach" step
it is a bit more stable and easier to control the bike in circles...and when doing combos it gives you confidence on not missing the hole in the seat on a frog jump to foot drag... but i dont have it any more...cause the 08 zx6...has a tiny seat area... i dont even have a hole in the seat its so tiny... you are better off just taking the damn seat of on this bike... i made my own custom cut tail saver for my bike cause nobody makes one for this bike...but in all i say it(teach step) has its advantages... but if you are use to your setup...just stick with what you got

Re: "teach" step
(other than the obvious advantage of not missing the hole or jumping off of it as stated above)

Re: "teach" step
Wow...cant beleive on on with the new hotness trend....made this back in january...there is one main lag bolt that goes through the middle and like 8 3" wood screws that i put washers on so they didnt pull through the plastic seat frame....then sprayed it with bed liner....looks like **** but works like a champ!!!
I originally just had the hole in the seat but didnt like the feel so I fabbed this up with scraps laying around:YEAH .....anybody else do something like this on a banana seat???
