F4i fuel pump help
my buddy had to switch out his ignition and now his fuel pump WILL not turn on, now when we directly hooked it up it worked fine whats whats wrong i dont know hondas very well......

yes you have a resistor it's probably burnt try another ignition. it happened to me also. couldn't find the problem for a while until I noticed that the pink wire on my harness was showing so it did a short cut and burnt the resistor in the ignition. I had a 929 ignition laying around and it did the job.

sounds like the feul cut off relay. i have just replaced mine yesterday bike was ******* me off.
evry thing turned on but the pump didnt prime. its under the rear seat two black boxes one of them is the feul cut off relay or somthing but that was what was wrong with mine $25 for a brand new one from honda.

Yes there is a pink wire coming out of the ignition. This wire sends a signal to the ecu to turn on the fuel pump....its only going to work if it sends out 7-9 volts. Check the voltage on the pink wire, when mine messed up it was at like 11v. you can try and wire in a resistor and if that doesnt work get a new ignition and just swap the part where the key goes in...
