600rr rear caliper

does anyone have a problem with the rear caliper being weak on the 600rr? i run a 14mm master with a fullthrottle adapter setup. this setup was awesome on my 03 636. 1 finger could lock up the wheel. this same setup is weak as hell on my 600rr. i have bled the system 100 times, and the master is solid, just not enough brake power! im starting to think that maybe the caliper is weak! any suggestions would be great!

in my experience the rr caliper was way stronger than either of my 2 636's. on my 06 i ran dual caliper with a brembo 16x18 same with my 600rr and the rr was wayy stronger. now i run a magura 13 mm with dual caliper on my 05 636 and its better than the 16x18 with my 636 but not near as good as the 16x18 with the 600rr. make sure your pads are fresh, stock works best in my experience, make sure ur rotor isnt beat, kj recomended scuffing up ur pads and rotors with some scotchbrite and then cleaning with brake cleaner, that might help ya. or u may just have a beat caliper.

Re: 600rr rear caliper

thanks bro, this is an 07rr with about 1200 miles on it. the rotor is like new, and it still has the stock brake pads. i already scuffed the rotor, but not the pads! and hit them with brake cleaner. this thing is killing me! i dont expect the performance of a duel caliper setup, but this thing is pretty weak!

imo run with a 636 master. they work awesome for handbrakes. try that if not ur need a new setup.

i dont know what the bore of the rr caliper is but that 14mm might not be right for it. should get someone to let you try their 16x18 and see if that works better for you.
