I think I jinxed myself...
a while back I said I'd rather go off the back then to go over the bars again... well, it definately hurt more going off the back...
I was practicing saturday getting ready to go to Baton Rouge on sunday... I'm not sure EXACTLY what happened since my camera man sucked and didn't get it on film... from what we could figure after, my throttle got stuck and it came up so fast the bike actually threw me backwards... the bike flipped, landed on the back wheel and then flopped from side to side and laid to rest spinning a donut in the road...
the damage: lost both rearsets, both passenger pegs and mounts, bent bars, cracked tail plastic, broke my undertail, and bent my rim... oh and cracked the end cap off my cage but other than that the cage survived really well...
as for me, I've been laid up for two days... no rash, but extensive swelling and bruising in my lower back and ***... and a knot the size of texas on the back of my head... thank god I was wearing my impact rig and helmet... I feel like Chuck Norris kicked my ***, so I can only imagine how I'd feel if I wasn't wearing my gear...
conclusion: I'd much rather go over my bars again than to loop it that hard again...

Re: I think I jinxed myself...
low side isn't that bad... I've never high sided but I've seen a few broken collar bones from that so I'm just hoping to flop over the bars again... that hurt the least of any of my wrecks...

"the chuck norris beatdown" has a good ring to it... I might have to nickname my bike chuck norris...

FI... I know people say they're crap but I think it took the lick quite well... we were all suprised it held up...
Thor Impact Rig SE... breathes really well... does NOT hinder flexability or movement... and most importantly, it saved my back in this wreck...
