im hurting for an anwser lol

well my question is a simple one for the last three days now i have been rocking stagerd wheelies instead of my usual on the front peg only wheelies. in doing this i have doubled the distance i can ride them out im pretty close to 3/4 of a mile maybe a lil more but... well it is making me soar as hell on my left side from the waist down lol. has anyone else had this problem or do you just think im doing something wronge and straining my self??? o ya and my bike is starting to smoke alot after my wheelies you think that it is burning alot of oil? its an 06 kawi 636

Re: im hurting for an anwser lol

Just keep working on balancing yourself (putting weight on both your feet, to keep the strain off your hands)

It'll eventually get better

do a search for the Klean air mod, and do it to your 636, that'll make sure your motor doesn't have any oil problems (still might smoke, but you wont cause damage to your motor)

And also, when you get done riding, and you hurt, thats a good thing.. Helping to make you stronger and to get over fatigue. The more you do it, the more it goes away.. Eventually you'll be going 5+ miles before you start to feel the burn

Not true. Rockin a wheelie isn't about body strength... it's about endurance of related muscles. That.. and having the proper body positioning.

A few more hours and youll be fine. Same thing last year when I slowed down staggards, Make sure you feed your muscles something good, too.
Keep practicing

And as for the smoke. You either have too much oil and or you are revving the **** out of your bike. Pu the wheelie down well b4 redline

I've heard that on 636's, when you do LONG balance point wheelies, when you set them down they smoke a little, even with the factory amount of oil.

Personally I never experienced that on my friends 636, even after rocking a 5+ mile wheelie....

But I've read it here a few times, so idk

2 636's and thats never happend to me with and without the kleen mod, all 4 of the guys from section 518 run 03/04 636's and never happend to them and were doing 10+ mile highway ****. only time mine blows smoke is if let it sit on the exuast while its running and then clutch back in (with the kleen mod) never happend before i did that.

I haven't had any problems with my '05. My air filter isn't even dirty from the crankcase vacuum.

I had that problem when i didnt know what i was doing. My back was hurting. But when you get bp down and arent yanking on the bars and using your body to try and keep it up it wont hurt you. Let the bike do the work. Make sure your standing up straight.

I used to do this and also have my left leg really bent. Made myself use a lot of upper body strength. Look at my avatar. Its a really old pic, of a 1 mile wheelie when I was learning staggered. I was out of breath and sweatin. Now im a lot better and stand up straight. I can go for 5+ miles and finally relax my hands so I can use my hand brake.

You'll get it, just got go out and do 'em.
