Re: switch from F4i to 6 durty 6
my buddys got an 03 636 i ride it all the time and like it. i can jump back n forth from my f4i to his bike no problem and 636's look gangster full fairing. as far as i know besides the forks being junk 636's are easy to wrench on and maintain they have awsome breaks and tough subframes! not hating or anything but why not just buy another F4i????

Hey bro, I recentl sold my 01 F4i and bought an 03 636....I basically learned on my F4i and put that bike through hell...it was a great bike to learn on, but now I am going for a bit more power and looks....my 636 is minty/ stock right now (can't afford stunt parts yet) but I have already down some slower wheelies on it with the stock gears....I love it. I'm a huge fan of both the F4i and the 03-04 636's.....I just feel the 636 looks better and has just a bit more power.....that's my 2 cents....good luck.

Re: switch from F4i to 6 durty 6
ill make it short......your gonna like and dislike things on both. Its all a matter of what you are willing to give up. for example the 03-04 636 has gangster power which the f4i lacks. the 636 has a tighter riding position which is much closer to the bars than the f4i. the 636 is a gangster sit down circle machine IMO..the f4i not so much.
now the f4i has a gangster idle which the 636 does not. the f4i is built like a tank the 636 is kinda fragile. the f4i feels like you can pull through easier on tank stuff than the 636. (now remember this is all my observation).
so all in all id say get both and see what you like and dislike then ace the one you dont like cause to have both of them will be a pain in the ***. because they are 2 different bike that ride diferent. but when you try out both post up what you like and dislike about them. :YEAH

Re: switch from F4i to 6 durty 6
I want one because I'ma bout to be in the learning all sorts of circles phase and i"ve already replaced a frame on my 636 once... The stock front end blows and everyone is worried about the 04 but realistically how many forks have snapped like 3 that i've heard of out of how many people using them?

Yea cuz after 3 or 4 people seriously fucked them selves up and numerous ppl saw that theirs were about to go as well...everyone wisened up and either got them sleeved or replaced them with the 05/06...IMO its better to be safe then sorry with that ****.
Another factor for me and most riders i think...is price. I can find minty F4i's $3-4k...apparently kawi riders caught yama-idis (a disease causing a person to feel their bike is worth twice of real value, may be indused by a severe crack addiction)...where their 03' w/20K+ miles is still worth show room floor value.
+1 if your learning go F4i...***** are gonna be gangstar forever...dont get me wrong if 636's didnt cost so ****** much used, ide be diggin one right now.
