I've never made "false allegations" about anyone or any company.

I said plain and simple: IMO 905 SUCKS. I also said: Sponsored riders are "compensated" to promote their product.

Please tell me which one of those statements are false.

And then, please tell me which one is an "allegation"

Just because YOU interpreted my statement as 905 pays "CASH" to riders means nothing besides the fact that your reading comprehension skills happen to be sub-par.

And just because 905 is "your friends" and/or "their companies" means nothing besides the fact that your feelings just got hurt.....

Seriously... anybody can talk all the **** in the world about my friends and/or their companies, and I'll keep my mouth shut... it's not my business.

Sorry J... I honestly didn't mean to hi-jack your thread w/ this crap... I only wanted to add to the cage discussion that I observed developing.

I only have one more thing to add then I will let this thread be.....

And to clarify this for you (as it seems you did not understand my point fron the beginning).....

What I meant by that is simply this: if I give my customers my product (free of charge)... that, to me, is PAYING the customer.... because I have to put my own hard earned $$ into the product that I am providing to them FREE OF CHARGE.


SO.... I stand my ground. They do actually "pay" riders to promote their product. Maybe "indirectly"..... true they do not literally hand out hundred dollar bills.... but regardless, they still pay for advertisement/promotion, by paying for their own product manufacture.

I've own'd my own company for 7 long years now.... and if I "give" any service up free of charge (which I NEVER DO)... I PLAN ON GETTING SOMETHING OUT OF IT IN RETURN.

Usually it comes back around in word of mouth, which leads to new accounts, which leads to MORE PROFIT.... which is THE BOTTOM LINE.


SO..... I realize you got angry because you happen to be friends w/ the owners of 905.... but your pathetic attempt to make me look un-informed and stupid, apparently back-fired..... that is IF you can read AND comprehend what your reading.....

YES, i will agree with EVERYONE that their cages werent that good. I personally have beat the hell out of my 905 cage and never had the welds snap but i didnt like the fact that it rolled up onto the gas tank. i cant speak for everyone else.

BUT, their upper stays have ALWAYS been good in my opinion. slim, strong and a great design. never had an issue with the 12 bar either.

I'd like to see the new 905 designed cage and then form an opinion. I believe that they deserve a 2nd chance at the cages. but if its anything like the first one then thats it.

But to that one person that may run across this thread maybe it will save them some cash and they can buy a real cage. If I had run across the pictures i have posted along with others in this forum I would have never gave 905 the chance for me to even hate them in the first place!

As everyone else said before...flat stock is going to crease like a piece of paper...with the force of a hit and the leverage those diesel peg brackets are gonna give...no doubt it will fold.

And IMO the thickness you would need for that flat stock to be, to not crease would be really over weighted.

Im not dick riding OMR...but he did beat everyone to the punchline...clean simple strong product...everyones trying to do their own spin off of it which is cool...but some times less is more...OMR is everything you need with nothing you dont plain and simple...no fancy designs or exotic metals...because simply u dont need all that.
