Re: *New* Racing905 Subcages

the 06 GSXR subcage was modified from your responses here...i will post pics of it later today.

also, I will post pics of the new 05 06 636 upper stay

I apologize for 905 for the past bumbles, but they are listening and really trying to step it up for us all.

What is the intended purpose of those handle looking things attached to the sides of the round bar? Is that designed to protect the tail section or is it for acros?

Heres some input for 905. Arron and steph are super nice people..i used to be a damn good customer 3 years ago (but that was because their **** kept breaking on me ) it kinda of pisses me off that he would sell stunt products.... (products that are meant to be strong) with some half *** welding when anyone who fabs should know that in this business .. your welds better be damn near perfect. not only were the welds not to par... but the material is super weak as well... ive never seen a tube break befor..and not at the welds but somewhere in the middle of the tube! tubes bend... and kink..on crashes but Break..whatever it is...thats some shitty stuff. .. im glad arrons doing the welds now...but that doesnt make there years of selling their stuff with shitty welds any better. even though hes doing the work right now.. they all ready lost me as a customer .. and i did not recommend 905 to anybody i knew.

take my word! ive never led a fellow rider in the wrong direction. ive used 905 and love them. when i practice i drop the **** out of my bike. like fast highside pancakes out of circles and such and my cage did exceptionally well. yes they do bend a bit. but what doesn't bend when a 400lb comes crashing down on it all the time. mine lasted for well over a year and i cannot complain about that.

straight from the horses mouth....word son!

and as for the tube ripping instead of bending! lol dud the peices are so small that there isnt any room for major bending. so under that much stress metal sometimes does that.

i think im gonna do a cage video and show all the abuse i put on these things and how they hold up! u will be shocked

I watched a 905 snap JUST like this, on about a 15mph rolling burnout tip over

Sure it may work for YOU.. But I've watched one fail, and all I hear from hundreds of people about how junky they are, so why even waste the money?

I'd rather just make the right choice the first time, SI for cheap, Tigershark for ballers :YEAH

edit: not only that, but any bike Ive sat on with a 905 cage, was a shin bashing ****! My shins touch them just sitting on the bike, and i'm only 5'11

And I dont know for SURE, but can 905's take corners? can you drag peg before you drag cage?

Thats one good thing about SI and tigershark, pegs hit before cage

Re: *New* Racing905 Subcages

^^^NO NO NO
905 cant take corners or small drifts even

i went thru a 905 in a season after weldin it 3 times at the cross bar in front and twice on the main motor mount

also my boy got pretty jewwed by them as well, 905 old style on a 03 636 was pretty much just for looks after a season. we practiced not crashing cuz if so our broke *** 905s would demolish wuts left of the cage

i made the right choice and switched to SI my boy made the wrong one and got a deal on a new style 905 for his bike...

less than half a winter ant the cage is once again a shin bashing hunk of junk stuck on the bike cuz its bent to ****....
and he rarely ever tosses his bike, rarely!

905 was the first to start a lot of the designs other companys are putting out. And they will for sure be around longer than most! Wait till you see the new line comming out in the summer. The sub cage design that was at XDL is going to be completed before he starts full production of the new cages.

Same thing. Not only blowing the stator apart, but destroying the block with it.
1st day-1st fall.
And no return phone calls on refunding the cage.

dude... I don't know you, but.... you're obviously completely ******* clueless.... word son.

You're leading fellow riders in the wrong direction every time you promote any 905 product.

MANY people have had the same results as the pics above.... nobody is lying here... 905 puts out complete CRAP. Plain and simple.

Just because you are paid to promote them dosen't make real world experiences go away.

Here's a crash vid for you..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RJQ11VvXOVw

Know what I did after this drop?

Picked my bike up and slammed it about 35 more times that day, just like that and even harder.... my cage is just the same as it was when I got it (minus some rash)... no bends no cracked welds.

I've been there done that...... and like EVERYONE else.... 905 SUCKS.

ONE burnout tip over and 2 welds cracked..... a second tip and the entire motor mount tube ripped completely off the bike.

I will dig up my old pics.... "TRUST ME" they look just like the pics above.... probably even worse.

Just because they did something 1st means nothing........ they started w/ crap and that will leave a bad taste in ANYBODY's mouth....

Oh.. excuse me.... except the people that they give free **** to (literally), and PAY to say their **** is good.

I myself, will NEVER, EVER buy one single piece of 905 GARBAGE EVER AGAIN..... and I will continue to spread the word of my horrible experience w/ them as long as I'm involved in this sport.

Take this from a guy who has ZERO interest in any particular cage company's business. I run what works.... not what I'm paid to run.

take a close look at those welds....

ON EDIT:

A word to the wise..... NEVER take advice on a product from someone that has that manufacturer listed in their signature sponsor list!!
