What do people do with their sensor??? My 05 R6 if you scrape the fender it'll die. Any ideas.

fat_sac has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Re: Tip over sensor.

What are you riding? If its a 600 then you'll never get any kind of scraping done. I suggest trying it with a Ford Escort first.

if its dying from scraping then youre either running out of gas or stalling it with too much brake cuz my r6 never shut off on me. none of my bikes ever have had the tip sensore disable and they never shut off unless theyre laying flat on their side.

Re: Tip over sensor.

all depends on the bike and where the sensor is...most people with F4I's don't think anything about them because most the F4I ridders take their upper fairing off and that is where the tip over sensor is....how ever they can be dangerous. Couple of years ago a guy who is a pro ridder now, was doing fast wheelies on his RC 51, when we went to go around a curve while in the wheelie the tip over sensor cut the bike off. It was in the tail section on that bike. And he proceeded to eat **** and get really fucked up and hurt bad. So I suggested finding out where it is on your bike and talking to a pro ridder that rides the same bike as you and see what they do with theirs.

you will be happy that the bike shuts off if you ever fall on top of it and your hand/leg/foot goes in the sprocket or wheel.

alot of ppl think its the tip sensor shutting off their bike and its not. tip sensors dont shut off from going backwards, if they did then bikes would be shutting off from hard acceleration and power wheelies. its a BAS = bank angle sensor, it senses how far leaned over to the side a bike is. ppls bikes shut off for a number of diff reasons, including loose kickstands, electrical shorts, low gas, hitting kill switches.......etc. ive owned every bike out there and had it sitting past 12 in coasters, scraping tail, and holding the bike resting on the tail before jumping in from a stall and never has one shut off on me. but i guess im just lucky right........

I know on the 636 you can scrape subframe.. but if you hold it there for long enough it shuts off.
