Power loss at 7K???????????????

Its a 2002 954RR. Runs smooth all the way up to 7k RPMS and then it bogs out. Do you guys have any ideas to help me fix this? It has a power commander on it if that matters. were changing plugs right now.
Thanks for the help

Re: Power loss at 7K???????????????

Motor was out of bike to fix transmission. but ran completely perfect before. So far we have changed spark plugs. disconnected the Power commander and made sure every vacume and plug connector was tight and routed properly. I read in the manual multiple times it could be the fuel pressure regulator.........Has anyone heard of this? What makes one go bad and could hooking up the fuel feedline and return backwards once mess up the regulator?......Im trying to trace this thing down because its so smooth up to 7k and then it makes this weird boggin noise and it feels like its still trying to go faster but missing fuel or spark?!?!?!? HELP

Your guys's feedback is greatly appreciated!

if it happens under a load, which that what it sounds like, then it's prob electrical. did you test your coils with a multi?

make sure your butterflies are open before you put the airbox on, that happened to me before and did what you're describing....

Re: Power loss at 7K???????????????

we made the front butterfly stay permanatley open. Its not when its under a load that it does it. You can rev up and haul *** up to 7k and then it just falls on its face as its trying to accelerate. the bike tries to push past 7k but its holding its self back some how. My guess fuel or air.
