MY bike was laid down on its side yesterday at very slow speed, I wasn't on the bike at time, but i saw it happen and it was barely even a drop but somehow managed to completey twist the sick subcage to **** anyone got any tips on bending this thing back? I tried with a big old pair of mole-grips but it wouldn't even budge... any ideas?

 

are you sure its not your subframe thats bent? u got a picture of it?

 

hmm, sick inno makes quality ****. i'd check to make sure its not ur subframe.

If it is bent, i'd call ian at sick inno. I'm sure he'd be willing to work with u. He backs his products and I'm sure he'd like to know if/how it failed.

Also, OMR makes a great subframe cage.

 

If you get a chance, email us some pics. The F4i's have a very soft rear shock, so the cross brace has to be a little smaller than we would prefer, but they have held up great with few warranty's. If it is the subcage, we'll work with you on gettin it replaced.

I love sick stuff, I've never had a problem whatsoever and I'm amazed how well my cage has held up.. I love the subcage too , it's awesome. :YEAH just a shame it got bent... it's definetly bent, not the subframe... I'll get some pics asap... I'd prefer not to send it back because I am in England, shipping costs will be a fair bit and I'll have no subcage for a month or two, I'm just learning RL and I can't stand the standard pegs.

I'll post some pics up in a day or two, someones reccomended using a scaffold pole over the peg to bend it back... but have to be real careful I don't snap the subframe mounts..

BFH normally solves everything :YEAH but don't think it'll do much good here

TAKE IT OFF THE BIKE TO BEND IT BACK, or you might just have a BENT sub-frame.

i just ordered my subframe cage from SI today.

 

those vertical braces really are useless..... the sub flexes side to side on the f4i. That's why subcages tie both sides together... not the top and bottom.

How the hell did you get that right side peg bracket mount to break like that w/ out snapping the bracket itself?

 

thats why i got the subfrane cage with it mounted it will still flex enough to give but not brake once it it tied toghther

i broke it trying to get ss's almost flat and someone else will have to tell you what it looked like when i lost it cause i don't remember.
