New Member needs some help

Greetings,

I own a 2007 R1 and I am having trouble getting the front wheel up. Could you direct me to a "How to" thread?

Is it true that the 07 R1 is difficult to wheelie on standard gearing?

Thanks,

Michel

I think yamaha just upgraded the bikes. The new clutches and what not. I also have a buddy that has an r1 that is easy to wheelie that thing. Haven't tried an 07. No one will let me touch theirs. hah

Re: New Member needs some help

the 02-03's are the easiest to wheelie...and every year since they have gotten harder...yamy designed their R1s for the track more and more since....the power is there but the weight is way forward making the balance point very high....

check out www.r1-forum.com for other R1 related stuff...

Re: New Member needs some help

An R1 will come up in just about any gear. My bike has about 60% of the power your R1 has and I only use about 60% of it to get the fromnt up. Get a dirtbike and practice. Read the WHEELIE STICKY (many times, pay attention). Be careful that thing is a beast.

How fast are you going?
what gear are you in?
Whats your experience level?
give us more info/ specific questions and youll get better answers
