Re: 1st gear or 2nd

if you got a 50 or a dirt bike, get brake cotnrol on LOCK before you even touch the sport bike..

I've never "looped" a sport bike.. Everytime I've gone back I've been going slow enough I just jumped off and ran/walked..

If you don't have a dirt bike to learn on, ride safe, and hope you learn brake control before you bust your ***!

Busting your *** on a sport bike can and probably will be a LOT worse then on a dirt bike..

Re: 1st gear or 2nd

I got a question... I got a 07 gsxr 600. And yesterday I did my first wheelie. I was stoked! But I kept doing them and the end of the day rolls around and I do one last one. My clutch went limp. It got so loose. Then I look down and the clutch case is cracked and my chain is loose as all hell. Am I doing something wrong here? I clutch the bike in first and drop it around 10 grand doing about 20 mph. And this happens? Maybe I should stick to power wheelies.

if you feel more safe doin power wheelies. then go ahead.. dont get hurt. but clutching the wheelie is alot more easier.. and you will be able to ride it longer.. keep practicing. tighten up your chain a lil.. its streching. and the clutch? i have no idea y it went loose..

I've had a few. DON"T BUY CHINESE ****!!! I had to replace about 99% of the chinese bike with Honda parts. The only thing that held up was the motor. Oh, and 50stunts pegs and sprockets are the ****. We had a Yamaha too that broke way more than the Honda did, so I guess manufacturer is personal preference but I'd only go with Honda.

You'd be fine on a 50. Thats why they make the big bar kits and suspensions for em. I want another one, but I'll end up with a 150 or something like that first.

Justagixxernoob, I have the same bike as you and if your doing wheelies do you get any pickup from power wheelies cause I cant seem to get them off the ground.

For sure. But I swear I will stand on the back pegs and that stupid thing wont come up. I get so irritated. I guess I will stick to clutching it and keep breaking ****.

Re: 1st gear or 2nd

yp man out here its 20 degreese out and i just went for a ride and it ruled but sucked because my hands froze.. If you are clutchin it and it still isnt coming up.. you are in the wrong gear at the wrong speed at the wrong rpm. read the wheelie forum.

Re: 1st gear or 2nd

I hit mine about 6k in first (600rr) and it comes up far enough where i can ride it on the BP.. ive rode it out 4-5 blocks without even revvin the hell out of it, my buddys 06 gixx 600 comes up easier then my bike does just keep trying at your own pace and wear a helmet..
