Re: 07 636 ?
i read on kawi forums that the 07s were having engine problems and a local dealer told me the same thing that theyve been having a ton of warranty work done to the engines and the bikes usually end up sittin there for 2 months waiting. thats mainly why i went with another 05/06.

Re: 07 636 ?
i just swicthed from a 05 to a 07... the pull is fine to me on idle...just as strong as the 05 636... but clutching from stand still is not as good to me as my 06... i got a 60 tooth sprocket on the 07 and the 06 had a 54 tooth .... and it seemed just to have more nuts then the 07... but it could be me getting use to it.... good as you ride... i dont think it would matter if you switched to a motorized big wheel... you would still kick *** partner:YEAH stasis rocks

Re: 07 636 ?
i feel about the same way. the 07 lacks alot on the base idle torque, but one ur up and u start ridin it if ur used to massive amounts of engine brake its fine i guess. just really seems sluggish. i even hated tryin to take off hard for endos..
other than that its same bike i guess..

Re: 07 636 ?
ive ridden both a 03-04, 05-06, and an 07.
all stock.
idle pull was strongest on the 03-04...i thought.
didnt ride the 05-06 that much or the 07. just basically some no handers on an all factory bike with the idle turned up.
the 07 is a gutless pig down low. raped ape up top....which is how ALL the 600s are getting. more racy and racy. they are sacrificing down low power and throwing bigger and bigger cams in them for higher rpm...
there is no doubt about it. less stroke to it and it has a pretty narrow.. high powerband.
and honestly...ive heard about the frames and man... just looking at them you know there going to break. the right spar is like 7 inches long and like an inch wide. lol.
its a hot looking bike tho. and if you want rock it...i would say try to reinforce the frame somehow. the power delivery you probably just get used to and if its weak on idle just turn it up...
