Stunt Brake light Fabrication.

Cause Of my 12 bar I had to take the stock light out right. Well what is a good way to fabricate someting in there? I bought a light from autozone and didnt even thing about it having to be dual filliment. Would a blinker work if I put a red lense in it? If you got your hooked up throw up a pic for me to get some ideas. Getting time again for the old inspection.

Re: Stunt Brake light Fabrication.

I just did a tail light for someones F4I with a round bar. I'm assuming you have the battery tray trimmed down in the back. Autozone sells a stretched oval shape led light for $25. I just made some L shaped light steel brackets and srewed them on the back of the light with very short sheet metal screws(if they're to long you'll ruin the light) Then rivet the brackets to the battery tray/undertail. Cut off the factory plugs and wire it up. It turned out real sleek and concealed. The led lights look awesome. If I had the bike here I'd throw up a pic. Maybe I can tomorrow.

Re: Stunt Brake light Fabrication.

led is the best way to go, dont forget the resistor! I used a broken stock 05 gix light, took it apart and pulled out the led strip. Then I gutted my stock f4i light and mounted the strip inside.

I would like to see that cause I looked at autozone and o'rieleys and the only Brake lights they had here f'ing huge. I have the tail cut clean off in the back so I wanted to put something smallin there and fiberglass fab it in. I am going to go with led's cause If I put bulbs in it they are just gonna blow when I drop a stoppie.... my old 929 loved to do that. You all got some great advice . thanks

well Got to re weld the 12 bar cause the welds broke in three spots, I am redoing the tank cause the bondo cracked gonna try some short strand fiberglass and see how that goes, ordered a new pilot power for the rear, streetfighter light is in the mail.gonna try and get her humpable soon but I might have to rock the 954 till I get the f4i straight. Gonna be a lot bike for awhile tho. Bout sick of getting in trouble and if you cant guess I am trying to get an overall Idea on how I want my bike to turn out starting with the tail. I am thinking of doing some fiberglass fab work on the tail should look good till I break it.

well I been thinking about it and I think I will try and put the stock light back on but have any of you guys tried those led bulbs that fit in the stock holes? Cause I am going to weld aluminum dimond plating to the bottom of my subframe and I dont want to have to be changing those bulbs out all the time..... Or should I just gut it like dude said below?

Another option I was looking at is putting an 05 GSXR light back there?
