Arrow Handbrakes

I wanted to see some opinions on handbrake?

Fullthrottle or dual cals with I think Hoheys

What are pros and cons on each?

Re: Handbrakes

Pros for both.....you have a hand brake.

Seriously though, went from a full throttle set-up to a Ho Hey Dual caliper set up and I absolutely love it. Dual caliper is easier to bleed and you don't have any lag whatsoever when switching from foot brake to hand brake or vice versa. Only down fall I can see with dual caliper is adding another caliper and another set of brake pads which equal more money......might be a little tougher to deal with when changing tires too, not really a big deal for me though.

IMO, dual caliper from Ho Hey all the way. Well worth it in the end.

Another pro is the fact you can use his 4 piston caliper set up for more braking power too.

Re: Handbrakes

ONly lack of skill will overheat your rotor, and that can happen with or without a dual caliper setup

And about dual calipers costing more, they only cost more to start up.. Sure you have 2 sets of brake pads, but each set sees half the wear.. Since when your on the footbrake, only 1 gets used..

Only way your gonna get a deal is if someone is selling a used one (but who would wanna sell one?!)

Gotta spend $200 + a line + a second caliper

And then you still need a master!

theres no right thing, they are different systems with a common objective. Both things must be ok since theres a lot of people using both of them. No offense but these posts are useless. Someone decides to talk about how good HHD are and everyone who likes HHD agree. Same happens with FTI. Just my you wont get nothing by asking, you have to choose between the extra caliper and the small black box, you will probably be ok with the chosen one. If not, try buyin the other haha

ps: i have friends using both systems and noone complains..
