Just drill your rivets out on the inlet... make one cut past the damaged area.... then use the strap that the rivets hold on as a guide to make your marks to drill out new rivet holes on your cut end.

Then, pop the inlet cap onto your cut and re-rivet w/ the strap back on.

I don't remember exactly.... i know they're all roughly equal lengths... so just take the whole thing and split it into 1/3rds
