Re: FTI adapter kit....

Had it on about a year. Never leaked a drop and was not hard for me to install. The only way it would leak would be if it was put in crooked or something along those lines.

Re: FTI adapter kit....

I think the FTI adapter would be fine

and considering a new master runs about $15 usually on ebay, theres not much risk with it

I got the gp tech setup before the FTI setup was out, and i've heard bad stories about it, but I just run a hose clamp around it and haven't had any problems with it

Re: FTI adapter kit....

not going to get into this too much again but I would think twice before you decide to use this adapter. Search for FTI adapters. I made a couple comments on my personal expeeriences with this adapter. Not very good. It forces threads into your master....Mine went in wrong for some reason. Had bill install the adapter. Long story short...It ruined my master cylindeer....I had to buy a new one. Not worth playin russion roulette with a rear master....but if you down to use it...dont care if it destroys your master....then go for it!

Re: FTI adapter kit....

I used one on my old 636 without any leaks. I thought it made my footbrake feel different so Im going with dual caliper this time I think, but Im the only one I know of that had it bled good that thought the footbrake didnt feel right afterwards. Maybe it was just me

dont forget the o-ring and make sure you keep track of the little set screw, i lost that **** and it almost fucked my whole day of riding, luckily remote reservoirs use the same screw.

Never had a problem with the footbrake either. Unless of course like was said earlier, you use both at the same time. This is on my 03 636.

STOCK05, I think u are referring to the screw on a Honda (first pic). Kawis dont have that screw (2nd pic).

I love mine, it bleeds very nice, you can get it perfect, no pump at all during transfers! Just follow the instructions to a T and you're good to go!

if someone has a pump delay it has to be from the way they are bleeding it. i have gotten into countless ebattles over this because i have had one on every bike that i have owned and have never experienced that problem and i know countless others that i have installed that never had that problem either.
