Powers S.W. cutting too many corners!
I have their cage on my 03 R1. Well, the cage itself is pretty well built, but the hardware that they give you to mount it, is crap! For the rear mounting point of the cage to my bike, they shipped me a threaded stud with a nut welded to one end. I'm sure that they went straight to Home Depot to get this ****! Those threaded studs are great for holding wood together, but to be used as a motormount stud for a motorcycle... WTF!!! Those studs are as soft as butter when it comes to bending them. So because of that ******* piece I have snapped off two bolts that mount the motor and cage to the frame! I have tried making contact with Powers to discuss this, but never get a response back from them! I will never use anything from them again, nor will I recommend their product to another person! Rant over!

If you don't gorilla tighten your bolts it should be fine. Also the nut welded to the all thread is standard practice for almost all cage builders with that design. If your bolts were super strong your frame would give. You want the bolts to be able to bend/flex/break if need be.
